School Spirit Day Every Friday! - Wear your PS 97 Gear!

Dear PS 97 families,

Welcome to an exciting 2019-2020 school year! As the principal of PS 97, I welcome you to our school. I feel privileged to have the opportunity to work with the highly qualified staff, the wonderful students, and the supportive families. As a parent, I know how much support our children need in their academic, social and emotional development. Here, at PS 97, we make every effort to help your children achieve academically and socially. It is our goal to create an enriched learning environment that engages and challenges each student. We are dedicated to providing our kids with high quality world-class education that will help them become leaders and citizens of the world.

Of course, in order to succeed, we need and welcome your support. We are committed to working with students and their families as a team. We encourage you to become active in the Parent Association and the School Leadership Team. It is a wonderful way for you to share ideas and to support the mission of the school. I look forward to meeting and getting to know you during our many upcoming events and celebrations, our monthly Family Visitation days, Family Volunteer days, and Family Fun Nights!

The New York State Education Department has translated the assessment resources for parents into 10 languages, including Arabic, Bengali, Chinese (Simplified), French, Haitian Creole, Karen, Nepali, Russian, Spanish, and Urdu.
